Student Scholarship Organization
Oakwood Christian Academy is pleased to offer families the opportunity to apply for two scholarship programs: Georgia Promise and the Pay It Forward Scholarship. The Georgia Promise Scholarship is a state-funded program designed to help eligible families offset the cost of private school tuition, while the Pay It Forward Scholarship is an OCA supported opportunity made possible through generous donors who desire to invest in Christian education. Each scholarship has specific eligibility requirements, application steps, and deadlines. Georgia Promise Scholarship Program is aimed to empower families to pursue exceptional educational programs through nonpublic schooling, including private school and home study. Should eligible families choose to leave public school (or forgo attending as a new kindergartener) to participate, the Georgia Promise Scholarship will allow families to use funds for private school tuition and fees, required textbooks, tutoring services, curriculum, physician/therapist services, transportation services, and other approved expenses.
The state of Georgia provides scholarship funding for students attending private schools through Georgia Qualified Education Expense Tax Credits. Oakwood partners with Pay It Forward Scholarships as its Student Scholarship Organization (SSO). Eligibility requirements and application details are available at PayItForwardScholarships.com.
Payments received in May are applied to tuition for the following school year.
