Thank you for your interest in OCA. We understand both the importance and significance of this vital decision regarding where your student will attend school. We are here to serve and assist you through the admissions process. OCA’s educational process and commitment, both in and out of the classroom, is directed to the development of Christian students to enable them to translate the different facets of their educational experience into Christian living.

As a community Christian school, OCA believes in “Kingdom Education”, a lifelong, Bible-based, Christ-centered process of leading a student to Christ, building a student up in Christ, and equipping a student to serve Christ. It is our desire to assist parents and be an extension of the home in the development of students spiritually, academically, physically, and socially so that they will think from a biblical worldview as they launch into God’s plan and purpose for their lives.

Application Process

Step 1

Private Tour

Any day is a great day to experience what God is doing at OCA. A private tour gives your family a firsthand look at our campus, classrooms, and Christ-centered community. You’ll have the opportunity to meet our administration, faculty, staff, and students while learning how OCA partners with families to educate, equip, and inspire students. We look forward to answering your questions and helping you discover what makes the OCA family special.

Step 2

Application

Following your campus tour, you’ll receive an email with a link to complete the Admissions Application. Once your application and non-refundable $100 fee are submitted, your student’s admissions file will be opened and reviewed. The email will also include a checklist of required documents to guide you through the process. Application fees are processed through FACTS Tuition Management at the conclusion of the application. Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.

Step 3

Admissions Assessment

Once the application and required documents have been received, your family will be contacted to schedule the student’s Admissions Assessment. This assessment allows us to better understand each student’s strengths and ensure the best possible placement and support for their success at OCA.

Step 4

Notification

Following the admissions review process, families will be notified of their student’s admission status.

  • Accepted: Families will receive a phone call with next steps to complete student enrollment and submit the non-refundable enrollment fee.
  • Accepted, Pending Availability: If a seat is not immediately available, the student will be placed on a waiting list and families will be notified as openings become available.
  • Not Accepted: Families will receive communication explaining the decision.

Admissions Policy

Oakwood Christian Academy maintains an admissions policy that does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, gender, or disability. All enrolled students must be able to function successfully within a traditional classroom environment. Students are placed in age appropriate classes based on their age on or before September 1.
