Elementary

At Oakwood Christian Academy Elementary School, we hold fast to the school’s mission statement, “Uniting a Passion for Christ with Excellence in Academics” for all our students. From kindergarten to sixth grade, teachers carry out this mission through Bible education, both as a class and a lifestyle of education.

Our excellence in academics is achieved by teaching a standards-based curriculum, which provides an opportunity for students to master content in the classroom.

Extensions

Students receive the opportunity to participate in a variety of extension classes. Not only do students receive classroom instruction, but they are able to transfer their learning through exhibits and activities.

Extension classes include: Art, Band, Library, Music, P.E., STEM, and Technology.

OCA students are required to learn basic music reading in third grade. Fourth through twelfth grade students may then choose to participate in band as an extension class and perform in concerts.

After School Care

Students may stay beyond dismissal in our After School Care program. This program is designed only for working parents who may need after school care for their child. This is not an extra play time for students. Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis.

Student Handbook

The student handbook contains vital information for parents and students. Please note the handbook is a dynamic document, with ongoing updates as needed throughout the school year and during the summer months. Thank you for remaining aware of the most current procedures and policies for OCA.
